3rd International Conference for World Balance Begins in Havana
The meeting, which will run until January 30, has the sponsorship of the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO), and will be a celebration of the 160th anniversary of the birth of Cuba’s Nation Hero Jose Marti.

Taking part in the Conference will be intellectuals, sociologists, former presidents, friars, Nobel Peace Prize winners, priests, rectors of universities, senators, ministers of Culture, Youth and Sports, and experts in foreign policy and international strategies.

The objective of the meeting, which will bring together over 600 delegates from more than 40 nations from all parts of the world, is to contribute to the constitution of a thinking and actions at a world level that make it possible to face the many complex problems, of the 21st century.

The Conference will include lectures, work in commissions and plenary sessions, a youth forum, the UNESCO’s symposium “For a culture of Nature,” a workshop on national heroes and thinkers of the Americas, a round table In Defense of Humanity, and a colloquium on bioethics and development.
