International Women's Day 2012 Date: Thursday 8 March Time: 6:30pm to 9:00pm, Venue: General Council Chamber, Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS The TUC is holding an evening of discussion and music to mark International Women's Day. At a time of austerity in Britain and the rest of Europe, as well as across the global economy, it is important to reflect on the impact this is having on women in particular. But we must also discuss what can be done to oppose austerity and rebuild the economy on the basis of fairness, equal rights and social justice. Food will be served at 7pm, and there will be a pay bar.
