| Stop Trident demonstration - 27th February, Central London This Saturday's national demonstration against the renewal of Trident nuclear weapons, organised by CND and supported by Stop the War Coalition, is promising to be one of the most significant political events this year. The money which would be squandered on Trident renewal (around £100 billion) would be enough to fully fund A&E services for 40 years, employ 150,000 new nurses, build 1.5 million affordable homes, build 30,000 new primary schools, or cover tuition fees for 4 million students.
