Royal Parks drop plans to bring back fees in Hyde Park
21 Mar 2015 — Last night The Royal Park confirmed that they have officially dropped plans to reintroduce fees to play sport in Hyde Park.

We received an email from Colin Buttery, Deputy Chief Executive, saying:

"Today we have published the results of that consultation. These show that over 1,000 of you got in touch, with a large majority saying they did not want to see booking or charging of the sites.

"Following your views, The Royal Parks has decided not to charge for these facilities."

Thanks to your support, we've finally won!

Nearly two years since this began, we can finally enjoy playing sport in Hyde Park without the threat of any sneaky fees.

So today were closing the petition, but we want to thank everyone of you who has made this possible.

We can't wait to get back in the park!
