City of London Corporation. Allow creation of a permanent memorial plaque in memory of Ian Tomlinson
Ian Tomlinson was a newspaper seller who worked in the City of London and was caught up in the heavy handed policing of protests against the G20 summit in London in 2009. As a bystander, he tried to leave the area and in the course of doing so, died after an assault by a Metropolitan Police officer. This officer now faces trial for manslaughter.

His family want a permanent memorial plaque at the spot where he died, so that his death is not forgotten.

Please help in this matter, only a minute of your time needed!
