PUBLIC MEETING: AFTER BIN LADEN - WAR WITHOUT END

PUBLIC MEETING: WEDNESDAY 11 MAY 7PM
AFTER BIN LADEN - WAR WITHOUT END
INDIAN YMCA 41 FITZROY SQUARE W1T 6AQ (TUBE WARREN STREET)
SPEAKERS INCLUDE: TARIQ ALI, GEORGE GALLOWAY, KATE HUDSON (CND),
LINDSEY GERMAN (STOP THE WAR)

The assasination attempt on Gaddafi and the execution of Bin
Laden show how the US feels it can act with impunity anywhere in
the world in violation of international law.

Far from seeing the death of Bin Laden as a reason for scaling
down the "war on terror" -- under which two Muslim countries are
occupied and a third is being bombarded -- Barack Obama, Hilary
Clinton and other western leaders have re-affirmed their
commitment to a policy of perpetual war.

The war in Afghanistan will be intensified in the coming months,
with 2011 already the most deadly since the invasion nearly ten
years ago. The occupation of Iraq continues to deteriorate, with
April being the most violent month since 2009. The bombing of
Libya, supposedly to "protect" civilians, has only served to
escalate the civil war, with dire consequences for the Libyan
people.

Stop the War's public meeting on Wednesday 11 May -- with
speakers including Tariq Ali, George Galloway, Kate Hudson and
Lindsey German -- will discuss the implications of Bin Laden's
death and its impact on the "war on terror".
