More options for those travelling to the DPRK. According to the Dandong Municipal Tourism Bureau in China’s Liaoning province, the city is expected to open up self-driving private tours in DPRK next month. Travellers can sign up with a local travel agency and drive their own cars to the DPRK. The driving tour will not only include traditional scenic spots, but also some previously restricted sites. Dandong will be the second city in China to open the service, after Huichun city in northeast Jilin province. The city is the largest border city in China. Nearly 60,000 tourists travel to DPRK via the Dandong each year. |
