Dr Hakim Adi, Chichester University
Dr Kate Manzo, Newcastle University (discussant)
Hakim Adi is Reader in the History of Africa and the African Diaspora. Hakim Adi argues that the recent military and other forms of intervention are a new scramble for African resources, markets, and geo-political control.
Kate Manzo is Senior Lecturer in Human Geography, and a specialist on post-colonial theory and the politics of representing Africa.
