A senior IDF official claims the Israeli Air Force is hitting Gaza once every 4.5 minutes, and the death toll keeps mounting. While people around the world were enjoying the World Cup, young Palestinians at a beachside café doing exactly the same were killed by a bomb. Even Palestinians in hospital are not safe, as Israeli airstrikes hit hospital buildings in the last 24 hours. The public response to Israel’s massacre of Palestinian men, women and children has been inspiring. Despite our Prime Minister David Cameron’s continued support for Israel and complete silence on the air strikes, people in Britain have demonstrated their outrage at Israeli atrocities. Ten thousand people flowed into the streets around the Israeli Embassy on Friday - and protests are taking place around the country. Over 30,000 of you have taken action by contacting your MPs, an overwhelming show of solidarity with the Palestinian people - and the numbers keep growing. Tens of thousands have already spoken out for the people of Gaza and are sending a message to our leaders and Israel’s criminal government that these attacks must stop immediately. But the destruction of people’s lives continues. Families continue to be devastated by the loss of parents, children and siblings, and Israeli troops are massing on the border. In order to keep the extraordinary momentum of protests going we desperately need resources, we need your donations.
