The question of whether or not to bomb Syria is at the core of the current political debate, including in the Labour Party. The Blairite wing of the party is hoping to inflict a crucial blow to Jeremy Corbyn's anti-war agenda by voting in favour of military intervention in Syria. We are asking people to get out on the street and to organise lobbying delegations and anti-war public meetings in every town in the country. It is crucially important to mount a rapid and mass mobilisation against yet another disastruous war. Don’t bomb Syria action points: • Lobby your MP now. Use our model letter to write to your MP. It takes two minutes. • Arrange a visit to your MP's constituency office or phone to let them know of your views on the matter. • Petition against the war on a street stall. • Promote Stop the War's online petition on social media. • Organise a public meeting against the bombing. • Prepare to protest if a vote is called. There is now a historical chance for the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership to break with this militarist business-as-usual. There's going to be a public meeting with Diane Abbott MP, Heather Wakefield, Andrew Murray and Lindsey German on the fringe of the Labour Party’s annual conference in Brighton which is going to discuss this extraordinary situation. ________________________________________ Everyone to Manchester! 4 days of anti-austerity and anti-war protest On 3-7 October Stop the War is going to bring its anti-war campaigning to the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester, as part of a major progressive mobilisation coordinated by the People's Assembly.
