Justice For Barts Workers
Industrial action will take place from 4-6 July by Cleaners, Porters and Security staff against the multinational Serco who recently took over the contract at Barts Trust, Serco are implementing job cuts at Whipps Cross, increasing workloads and are refusing to pay a 30p per hour increase in line with inflation
The contract will cost taxpayers 600m and make large profits for Serco at the expense of hard working staff.
These workers play a vital role in looking after our health Their treatment by this arrogant employer shows everything that is wrong with outsourcing. This is a critical dispute in England's biggest NHS Trust with a Government determined to fragment and privatise our NHS. Lets give the workers our support.

Our NHS is Under Threat

The government is using local Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) to drive through 22bn of cuts in the NHS - that's 58m in North East London alone
The plan is now called the "East London Healthcare Partnership" but it is still the same plan.
In spite of widespread opposition to these plans across east London, including from Waltham Forest Council , two meeting are being held to launch the Plan. Please join us to Lobby these events :
