Oxford Stand Up To Racism Public Meeting
Stand Up To Racism - Oxford rally and national demonstration

Last weekend racists and fascists organised in PEGIDA coordinated anti-migrant, anti-refugee and anti-Muslim protests across Europe. Ex-EDL leader Tommy Robinson lead the march in Birmingham but could only muster around 150 people for a national demonstration, and was outnumbered by anti-fascist protesters from the Midlands. However in Calais refugees were beaten and hospitalised and the demonstration turned violent. In Prague a refugee hostel was set on fire after the PEGIDA protest. Across Europe violent attacks on migrants, refugees and Muslims are escalating, fuelled by the racist scapegoating by mainstream politicans.

The racists are coordinating and we need to do the same. Oxford Unite Against Fascism is supporting the Europe wide marches on UN anti-racism day on March 19th. Last year more than 10,000 people joined the London demonstration. This year we want to get more people on the streets to challenge the racist tide. Come to the mobilising rally below to build the demonstration. We need people to help leaflet at the protest against the council cuts at 11 am Sat 13th outside the Clarendon Building, top of Broad St.

We also need people to take posters for colleges, workplaces, community centres etc. Please mail back if you would like to help build the rally and demonstration.
